Complete a Work Item

View assigned work, update progress, complete tasks, and upload supporting documents from the Work Items page.

Introduction

This video shows how work items created and delegated from the Scheduler appear on the Work Items page.

After a manager assigns work to someone in the team, the assigned user can open Work Items to see what needs to be accepted, worked on, and completed.

Einsys supports different work item types for different operational needs, including Standard, General, and Transport work items.

  2. Create or delegate work items to a team member.
  3. See Standard, General, and Transport work items assigned inside a worker's lane.

  6. Use a Standard work item for simple office-related tasks or internal follow-up.
  7. Update the status to show whether the work item has been accepted, is being worked on, or has been completed.
  8. Upload supporting documents when needed.
  9. Use a General work item for tasks that need more information, such as field work, office jobs, or work completed outside the main office.
  10. Review the address, description, attachments, and task details needed to complete the job.
  11. Use a Transport work item for transport-specific jobs.
  12. Review Pickup Details, Additional Stops, Delivery Details, and Load Details in one place.
  13. Open and complete work items from desktop, mobile, or tablet.
  14. Upload proof, photos, or supporting documents from the device used by the team member on site.

Why this matters

The Work Items page gives team members a clear place to see the work assigned to them.

Managers can delegate work from the Scheduler, while employees can use Work Items to accept, update, and complete tasks.

Different work item types help keep the right information attached to the right job. Standard work items keep simple tasks clear. General work items support detailed office or field work. Transport work items keep pickup, delivery, route, and load details connected to the same job.

This helps teams communicate progress, reduce missed information, and complete work with the right supporting proof or documents.
