Manage Asset Lanes in the Scheduler
Create Asset Lanes in the Einsys Scheduler to manage people, vehicles, machines, buildings, equipment, and other company assets from one planning screen.
Introduction
This video shows how to manage Asset Lanes in the Einsys Scheduler.
Once your team members and company assets have been added to Einsys, you can create working lanes that connect people with the assets they use.
This helps companies plan work not only by employee, but also by vehicle, machine, building, equipment, or any other asset needed to complete the job.
What the video shows
First, we open the Assets section, where company assets such as vehicles, machines, buildings, tools, equipment, and other resources can be managed.
After the assets are added, we open the Scheduler.
In the Scheduler, you can choose between planning work by users or by Asset Lanes.
User lanes are useful when you want to schedule work directly for employees.
Asset Lanes are useful when work needs to be connected to both a person and a company asset.
By opening Manage Lanes, you can create a new working lane, give it a name, select the assignee, and connect the relevant asset.
For example, you can create a lane for a driver and match that driver with a truck, van, trailer, machine, or other asset.
Once the lane is created, work items can be scheduled into that lane so the work is assigned to the right person and the correct asset.
Why this matters
Many companies need to manage work around both people and assets.
A transport company may need to assign a job to a driver and a truck.
A construction company may need to assign work to an operator and a machine.
A service company may need to assign tasks to a technician and specific equipment.
Asset Lanes make this easier by giving managers a clear way to schedule work around the real resources needed to complete the job.
This helps teams plan ahead, avoid confusion, and keep people, assets, and work items connected in one system.
The Scheduler Asset Lanes feature is useful for businesses managing a few employees, or larger companies managing many teams, vehicles, machines, locations, and assets.
