Create Transport Work Item
Create a Transport work item in the Einsys Scheduler, add pickup and delivery details, include additional stops, and manage load information in one place.
Introduction
This video shows how to create a Transport work item in the Einsys Scheduler and use it for transport jobs that need pickup, delivery, route, and load details.
When Work Item Type: Transport is selected, Einsys shows the transport-specific fields automatically.
What the video shows
- Open Scheduler.
- Click Add Work Item, or create the work item directly from the planning board.
- Add the main work item details.
- Select Work Item Type: Transport.
- Add Pickup Details.
- Use Autofill from Saved Location to complete company, contact, and address details faster.
- Add Delivery Details.
- Add Additional Stops if the transport job has more than one collection or delivery point.
- Add Load Details, including vehicle, freight type, packaging, items, dimensions, weight, and delivery options.
- Save the work item.
Transport work items keep pickup details, delivery details, additional stops, and load information connected to the same scheduled work item.
Why this matters
Transport jobs often need more information than a standard task. The Scheduler lets teams create transport work with the operational details needed for planning, delegation, and follow-up.
Saved Locations help reduce repeated admin work and keep address details consistent. Additional Stops and Load Details keep route and freight information in one place, so the work item can be assigned, scheduled, tracked, and managed from the Scheduler.
